MAKE CREATIVE STUDIO CUSTOMER PRIVACY NOTICE 

 

Make Creative Studio is committed to safeguarding the privacy of its customers, users and social media visitors. This Privacy Notice explains how we may collect or use any personal data that you provide to us when making an enquiry, during the booking process, at any class or workshop itself or when ordering any service or goods from us. 

 

Please read this Privacy Notice in conjunction with our Terms and Conditions, available on our Instagram page (@makecreativestudio). 

 

1. Collecting Information.

1.1 We may collect personal data about you in a number of ways, including: 

(a) when you make an enquiry online or email us or contact us by telephone, text or other electronic means;

(b) during the booking process to ensure we have the appropriate information needed to provide you with the class or workshop, services or goods you have ordered;

(c) during the class or workshop itself; or

(d) when you make any purchase from us directly or through our social media pages.

2. Use of Your Information

2.1. We may use information collected from you in order to efficiently provide our services to you. In addition to this, we may use the information for some of the following purposes:

 

(a) to respond to your enquiry and to provide you with information about our classes and workshop or any other requests

(b) to contact you in relation to your booking or to provide you with updates relating to our services or our products. Such contact may be via email, telephone, text or other type of message. 

(c) to provide you, as a previous customer, with information relating to our current or updated services or products, special offers or discounts or other news which may be of interest to you.  

 

2.2. You may unsubscribe from receiving any information or emails from us at any time.

 

2.3. From time to time, we may employ third parties to support us in the provision of our services on our behalf. If we do so, we may need to disclose your personal data to these third parties in order for them to fulfil our services to you. These parties will only be provided with the personal data necessary for them to perform their functions.

2.4. If you provide us with personal data on behalf of another person as part of the booking process or otherwise, this must be done with their consent and it is your responsibility to provide them with the information set out in this Privacy Notice and they must not have objected to the use of their personal data.

2.5. From time to time, we may carry out marketing analysis or customer profiling and research including statistical and testing information. This may include referencing information in the public domain.
 

2.6. We may use your personal data if needed in order to prevent and detect fraud or loss. 

3. Storing Your Information

3.1. We will take all reasonable steps to treat and store your personal data securely.

3.2. Please remember that the sending of information via the internet is not totally secure and on occasion such information can be intercepted unless encrypted. We cannot guarantee the security of data communicated with us electronically, nor can we accept responsibility for the loss of such data that is beyond our control. Sending such information is entirely at your own risk.

3.3. We may use ‘cookies’ to monitor how people use our site. This helps us to understand how visitors use our website and make our website a better experience for the user. A cookie is a piece of information that is stored on your device through your browser. They cannot be used to identify you personally. You can normally alter the settings of your browser to prevent it from accepting cookies.

4. Disclosing Your Information 

4.1. We will not disclose your personal data to any third parties other than as set out in this Privacy Notice or in the instances below:

(a) If we are legally required to do so by law; 

(b) In the event that we sell or seek to sell all of part of the business of Make Creative Studio to a buyer/potential buyer;

(c) For the purposes of fraud prevention/detection/reduction/protection. 

5. Third Party Links

5.1. Any links to third parties on our social media pages or in any communications with us are provided for your information and convenience only. Where a website link is provided, it is neither an endorsement nor approval of that site’s policies or terms and it is your responsibility to satisfy yourself of their privacy policy before sharing any personal data with them.

5.2. We are not liable for their content and exclude all liability for loss that you may occur when using any third party websites.

6. Your Rights

6.1. Your right of access: You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information. You can request other information such as details about where we get personal information from and who we share personal information with. There are some exceptions to this which means you may not receive all information you ask for. To request information, please email hellomakecreativestudio@gmail.com. We may charge you an admin fee of £20 to cover the costs incurred in providing you with the information requested. 

6.2. Your right to rectification: You have the right to ask us to correct or delete personal information you think is accurate or incomplete.

6.3. Your right to erasure: You have the right to ask us to delete your personal information.

6.4. Your right to restriction of processing: You have the right to ask us to limit how we use your personal information.

6.5. Your right to object to processing: You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data.


6.6. Your right to data portability: You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organization or to you.

 

6.7. Your right to withdraw consent: When we use consent as our lawful basis you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

 

6.8. If you wish to withdraw consent or unsubscribe from receiving our emails or communications, please make a written request via email to hellomakecreativestudio@gmail.com

 

If you have any concerns about our use of your personal data, you can make a complaint to us via hellomakecreativestudio@gmail.com.
